Alpina is a medium-moist snuff with a medium grind and a fluffy texture, in Pöschl's tap box format. Menthol is strong, with candied blackberry and raspberry as the primary fruit notes, and secondary notes of strawberry, cherry, chocolate, and natural tobacco. The blend contains close to 5% menthol and almost 2% camphor. Nicotine strength is medium.

The tobacco colour is a lighter, near-red brown, and the darker berry notes carry a sweetness closer to confectionery than fresh fruit.

This snuff has a moderate amount of nicotine, but the mix of candied berry and menthol covers it well. If you take a bigger pinch, you might notice more of a burn in your nose, though the berry and menthol help soften it. The snuff is quite moist, which makes it easier to use. The moisture helps keep the candied blackberry and razzberry flavours strong. You might notice some clumps in the tin because of how moist it is. The tobacco has a lighter brown colour, nearly red in nature.

The grind is medium, and the texture is fluffy, so if you're outside, it can easily blow away if there's a breeze. For beginners, this snuff is easy to handle thanks to its fluffy, moist grind. The sweet, jammy fruit flavours are pleasant and go down smoothly, while the menthol ties everything together and keeps any nasal irritation in check. It's a snuff that's easy to enjoy and hard to resist.

Alpina blends candied blackberry and raspberry with a solid amount of menthol. The tobacco flavour is there, but the sweet berry taste stands out the most. The menthol is strong and steady, and I could still smell the berry half an hour after my first pinch. The grind and texture are easy to work with, and the moisture makes it even simpler to use. With moderate to low nicotine, it's a snuff I can enjoy all day. It also mixes well with Sunblast for a unique apricot twist.
