FUBAR Snafu snuff will create a situation that is anything but normal but by no means fouled up. This bare bones mixture of Chopadia and Oriental tobaccos offers a high powered ride on the nicotine train and helps to keep you alert at your post. There are no frills on this snuff sortie unless you opt for the medicated version where all you add is more WTFU. So either way, enjoy soldier!

Great by itself or mixed

Fubar Plain snuff is a pale brown, finely ground product, with a neutral flavor, imo. However once you learn to snuff it carefully it’s a nice blast of nicotine with little throat drip. It also mixes well with scented snuff, whether to increase the nicotine level or to stretch out a favorite your running low on. I had passed on it many times before ordering a tin a few months ago. I’m glad I tried it! Now it’s one I always have an extra tin or two of in my snuff drawer.

Far from Plain

I have been Hoovering this snuff for over a month and still find it difficult to submit a review. The problem is that SNAFU “Plain” is far from plain. It is complex, exhilarating and somewhat confusing. Like a vintage re-run, it requires the type of study that only familiarity can bring. To be fair, it should be marketed as “Unflavoured” rather than “Plain”. Truly Indian, it skillfully doses both Turkish and Red Chopadia tobaccos. It has the colour of pale pumice and smells like Afghan White when unscrewing the hearty 30g tin. Very high in nicotine, SNAFU Plain imposes a light sear with a long finish that helps focus the mind and embolden the soul. Whereas WoS’s “Plain” is a pleasant combination of Virginia and Burley tobaccos that tastes like Orange Pekoe tea., SNAFU’s “Plain” tastes like Tonic Water. Sweet, effervescent, sour and spicy, it offers a panoply of flavours that ranges from civet to lime to juniper berries, with a little curry thrown-in for good measure. Finely ground, its oil finish allows the snuff to coat the nostrils without unpleasant throat-drip of a traditional powders.

FUBAR Snafu Plain 30g

I don't see what the big deal is about this one. The sinus hit isn't all that hard. The nicotine hit is slow to come but is potent. The smell is tolerable with the faint whiff of old dog. Overall it's tolerable but nothing really special. I probably won't order again.

FUBAR Snafu Plain 30g

I don't see what all the fuss is about. First off the tin comes unsealed from fubar which I find disconcerting. The next is the nasal and nic hit pale when compared to dental scotch snuff. Overall the the snuff leaves a faint aroma of dog in the air with a slight chemical smell upn the initial hit. The drip is ok, a little on the bland side. This is an acceptable snuff but I can't say I'll do it again on purpose
