Collection: Gawith Hoggarth

Some eleven score and nine ago, Thomas Harrison began milling snuff in Glasgow. He then relocated to Kendal where he and his family produced a line of snuff that was adopted throughout Great Britain and the European mainland. The quality persists today as the recipes and know-how have been passed down through the generations and eventually became known as Gawith Hoggarth, licensed manufacturer of nasal snuff on Lowther street in Kendal.
