SWS version of Dr. Pepper snuff. I love it!

The name of this snuff and the ship on the box is a little German play on words Steifeprise and Steifebrise ("stiff pinch" and "stiff breeze" rhyme). This pun is the signpost for some wonderful snuff ahead. This was the first of the new Bernard by McChrystal's that I tried, and it's great. Although it is different than the original German Bernard—mainly in that the tobacco consistency is a little different, being slightly drier and less fluffy—the end product is still reminiscent of the original and it's certainly a fine snuff. Think of it more like comparing apples to oranges rather than better or worse in terms of original vs new. The McChrystal family have obviously been working hard to get it right, and after trying a few, so far I'd say they're doing quite a good job of making these recipes. Being a hobbyist snuff maker myself, I can tell you it's no easy task what McChrystal's has done here.

As for Steifeprise attributes, it has this incredibly pleasant characteristic of being cooling and warming at the same time. There's your usual peppermint out front, but there's also some lovely spices in there which make it a great pairing for cold weather, cool rainy days, the holiday season, etc. A demi-gros snuff with a texture somewhat similar to Rosinski's offerings (RIP). The texture is a little grainy in the nose at times, but never so much that it's coarse of unpleasant. I'm keen to try more of what the McChrystal family has been resurrecting under the Bernard flag. Steifeprise will surely become a favorite of medicated snuff enthusiasts and a great seller for McChrystal's. Keep up the good work over there in Leicester!

As an American snuff taker, it’s very important to have a reliable importer-exporter of the world’s best snuff products, and Mr. Snuff delivers. Thanks for eight years of wonderful snuff and great customer service. Recently I bought a whole bunch of snuff from here and Super M was one of them.

Super M is comparable to Hedges L260 but in my opinion has a bit more character. There's a slightly floral edge to Super M that sticks out nicely—and in just the right amount—that's more noticeable than Hedges floral notes. A tiny amount of bergamot or citrus and perhaps jasmine or geranium are present alongside the menthol, camphor, eucalyptus trio which sets this a cut above the other common dry medicated snuffs.

Finally. I love the new brown tins! It's the same tin as always, just brown—a very small change, but it looks classy.

Great Snuff!

A definite hidden gem. The snuff itself is visually stunning and absolutely beautiful; like coal powder with glittering diamonds throughout it. A very fine grind with decent moisture, it's a wonderful collection of exotic notes. Chief among them is delicious lychee, followed by nag champa incense, jasmine, orange blossoms, and maybe a hint of roses and cloves. This is absolutely one for floral fans.

This one is just fantastic. Far beyond your average bergamot-scented SP, GH's has wonderful perfumed and leather notes, balancing floral with rustic. I always make sure to have this one on hand.

Bought this cheeky little number on a whim, as it was on offer. Well... Upon cracking the tin, the first impression was chocolate....not dissimilar to McChrystal's Aztec. But there are subtle hints of leather, with deep earthy undertones. A generous pinch confirmed what lay beneath; a vitamin N haymaker. The supreme compliment to the rustic notes already awakened in my snout.
This snuff may not be to everyone's taste, but for the seasoned sampler, this snuff is as good as it gets for a powerful vitamin N slap inside the skull, minus distracting perfumery.
The snuff itself is a fine grind, slightly moist but the right side of dry. Goes well with a good aged single malt .
Long drip, minimal sniffles. Recommended 👍

This snuff has a eucalyptus and menthol hit to it. I like mentholated snuffs as pallet cleanser and this one great for that. Smooth menthol hit that clears the sinuses. Good for on the go too, the reflective container also helps you check if your nose is clean.
